Subject: Grant funding for Census Assistance programs in specific Oregon counties

Greetings!

The Census Equity Fund of Oregon has opened another RFP to distribute funding to organizations that want to become Census Assistance Centers (CACs) focusing on Hard to Count (HTC) populations in select counties. Here is the list of counties eligible:

Clatsop
Columbia
Jackson
Josephine
Klamath
Lake
Lane
Lincoln
Multnomah (limited to culturally specific organizations serving the Latinx population).

CACs are expected to provide an effective on-the-ground presence for the 2020 census in order to raise public awareness, deliver trustworthy information, and provide options for self-respondents to receive questionnaire support. Awards will generally range between $10,000-$30,000 with a maximum of $40,000.

Libraries and non-profit community organizations are encouraged to apply. Please help publicize this opportunity if you are in one the listed counties!

Applications are due Jan. 31, 2020
