The Oregon State University Libraries (OSUL) Diversity Scholars Program
(DSP) is now recruiting for the program's fourth Diversity Scholar (DS) for
the 2020-2021 academic year. The DS 2020-2021 position is for a person of
color who is enrolled in an online or distance learning library science
master's program - a program that is American Library Association
accredited and within the United States - who plans to graduate in the
spring or summer of 2021. The DS position is for one 9-month appointment,
October 2020 - June 2021. The goal of this 0.5 FTE term-limited position is
to provide mentorship, professional development opportunities, and
first-hand experiences working in an academic library for an MLIS student.
Diversity Scholars’ projects support strategic initiatives of the OSUL
while providing concrete and innovative opportunities for the DS to
interact with librarians from various departments as fully integrated
members of the library faculty. The Diversity Scholar 2020-2021 position
will be 100% remote.

Compensation: $11,500 for the 0.5 FTE 9-month appointment, 20 hours per
week (600 hours total, October 2020 - June 2021); $2,500 for professional
development; with benefits. Flexible scheduling available.
