Dr. Clara Llebot, Assistant Professor/Data Management Specialist at OSU Libraries and Press is presenting at the last OSU Library Faculty Seminar of the academic year: Teaching and talking about data management with librarians in Barcelona and Valencia

Abstract: Remember when we were still able to travel all around the world? Well, in February 2020 I went on a trip to Barcelona and Valencia, in Spain, to meet with librarians and talk about data management. The figure of the data management librarian is still very uncommon in Spain, but librarians are working on supporting their faculty and students with data management issues, and they were interested in hearing the experience of OSU. I gave two talks at two different events, I taught a data management course to librarians, I talked a lot about what we are doing at OSU with Research Data Services, and heard what other universities are doing in Spain. In this presentation I will talk about the exchange of experiences, including a bit of background about our data management services (so, come if you want to learn more about OSU’s Data Services!), and I will share a few fun photos about this trip, which was supported by a Lundeen Award.
