Hello colleagues,
Governor Brown held a press conference last Thursday regarding phased reopening plans and posted documents with detailed information about the phased approach.

Information is available on the COVID-19 Resources for Oregonians web page<https://govstatus.egov.com/or-covid-19> including the following:

*         Reopening presentation<https://youtu.be/1zSz5tb5SMw>

*         Reopening Oregon document<https://govsite-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/2pRlAJbhRBuSTm0Iqy6p_Reopening-Oregon-Details-on-Restarting-Public-Life-and-Business.pdf>

*         Guidance on Face Coverings<https://sharedsystems.dhsoha.state.or.us/DHSForms/Served/le2288K.pdf>

You will also see guidance for specific sectors on this web site. I have been in conversation with the Governor's office regarding the need for library-specific guidance given that libraries provide services and resources in ways that are unique from other sectors. Working from the guidance for the retail sector<https://sharedsystems.dhsoha.state.or.us/DHSForms/Served/le2342A.pdf>, a draft guidance document for libraries is attached. I would like your feedback before sending to the Governor's office and OHA for review and finalization. You can send me an email with your thoughts, or attend the following discussions this week:

* Wednesday, May 13 noon - 1:00: Wednesday Topic Talk - Reopening Oregon (Governor's Plan) and Libraries; hosted by Arlene Weible

* Thursday, May 14 noon - 1:00: Directors Discussion; hosted by Darci Hanning

Details and the Zoom links are on the State Library's COVID-19 LibGuide<https://libguides.osl.state.or.us/coronavirus/meetups>.

In addition to working on this official guidance, the State Library is working on pulling together other resources and support to assist you as you transition to new service models and phased reopening. The LibGuide<https://libguides.osl.state.or.us/coronavirus/home> is a great source of information and we will put out a supplementary document to the official guidance once that is finalized.

Please contact me with any questions. Thank you!

Jennifer
