Subject: [Libs-Or] 2020 Pearl Award

OLA's Public Library Division would like to announce the recipient of this year's Pearl Award ......

Victoria Campbell, Youth Services Manager at Beaverton City Library!!!

Victoria was nominated by her colleagues for her tireless efforts to develop a Youth Access library card at Washington County Cooperative Library Services and her work to provide this card to all students in the Beaverton School District through a data transfer from the school district. This required tremendous effort, perseverance, and collaboration.

Here are a few highlights from the nominations we received, describing Victoria's efforts:

"Victoria's exceptional efforts in developing the Youth Access Card project over the course of several years has resulted in library access for ALL students in the Beaverton School District. This was achieved by her persistence in continuing to move the process forward, always asking questions and thinking of creative ways to problem solve and remove barriers, while always keeping the vision of providing library access to students at the forefront of this project."

"She exemplifies the ability to agitate in positive ways, to create changes that will benefit the community, and to bring excellence to all her pursuits. She does so with grace, professionalism, humor, and incredible organizational skills. But also by making sure everyone on her team feels as highly valued by her as she is definitely to us in Washington County."

Please join us in congratulating Victoria!
