Do you have a passion for storytime and fostering a love of reading in children ages 3-5? Are you a detail-oriented person who is energized by the idea of coordinating with childcares for visits and managing that schedule? Are you enthusiastic about engaging young children in an approachable way, building relationships with caregivers, and representing the library as a welcoming place for everyone?

If so, this might be the job for you! Beaverton City Library is seeking someone to join our team as our new Library on Wheels (LOW) Outreach Specialist. The Library on Wheels program is well loved in our community and as the face of LOW, you will be delivering a rotating selection of books to over 50 childcare facilities in Beaverton. In addition, the LOW Outreach Specialist models early literacy practices while leading storytimes at childcare sites. Currently all storytimes are hosted in English but could be expanded to be bilingual in Arabic or Spanish based on your skills and the needs of our childcare partners. At present, storytimes are recorded and shared virtually but they eventually will be in person again.
