________________________________
Good afternoon, Oregon library friends,
It’s with great pleasure that I announce my successor at the Lane County Law Library: Please join me in welcoming the fantastic Brittany Young, who has successfully survived her first two days at the library this week!

Brittany’s been around the Oregon library community for several years, most recently serving as the Director of Library and Media Services at Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton. While law librarianship is a mostly-new direction for her, the interview panel was quite impressed with her demonstrated leadership, energetic self-motivation, and unwavering commitment to patrons. I really admire her sincere enthusiasm for county law libraries, along with her incredible attention to detail and confident approach when learning something new. It’s so reassuring to know this Law Library, which I put so much of my own heart and soul into, is in such capable hands!

I’ve stayed on as a (remote) contract employee through the end of the year, to provide guidance and consultation services, but Brittany is now your go-to person for all Lane County Law Library questions and information. She can be reached at our general phone number (in my sig line below) or via email at brittany.young at lanecountyor.gov<mailto:brittany.young at lanecountyor.gov>.

Thank you in advance for being the amazing, supportive library family to her as you always were to me!

All the best,
Sue

**I am currently transitioning to a position outside of Lane County. While I will continue to provide temporary remote assistance, please note that on-site library staffing will be limited through the end of the year.
