The Oregon Library Association's official publication, OLA Quarterly
<https://www.olaweb.org/ola-quarterly>, has been on hiatus over the last
year while the association has been reviewing the publication's policies
and guidelines. This review was needed to align editorial guidelines with
OLA's equity, diversity, inclusion, and antiracist values and clarify
editorial and publishing practices and procedures.

OLA Executive Officers worked with members of the EDI Antiracism Committee
and consultant Teresa Stover to develop a set of draft guidelines
<https://drive.google.com/file/d/19nfNgkZ0ShJBZyWnAXBGyL5UDW0leETZ/view?usp=sharing>.
OLA welcomes feedback about the guidelines and will be working to further
refine policies and processes as OLAQ issues are developed and published
over the next year.

I am happy to announce that Kate Lasky will serve as OLA Quarterly editor
over the upcoming year as these new guidelines are tested and refined.
Kate's involvement with the guideline review as she served as OLA President
as well as her prior work experience with editing and publishing places her
in a unique position to shepherd the OLA Quarterly through this transition.
I would personally like to thank Kate for her willingness to share her time
and experience to help OLA to move forward with this important project.

Please send your feedback about the draft guidelines to Kate at
olapastpresident at olaweb.org or klasky at josephinelibrary.org and look for a
call for articles for the next issue soon!
