Removing an item from the library is often difficult, but weeding can make your collection more accessible and more attractive to your patrons. In this workshop, attendees will learn about techniques for collection assessment and weeding, including:

*             How to establish evaluation criteria that fit your library
*             How to develop sound weeding policies
*             Best practices and techniques for weeding your collection
*             How to communicate about the process to your staff and patrons
