[Libs-Or] Steven Engelfried Retires

After 10 years at the Wilsonville Public Library and a 35 year career that took him through Alameda County, Deschutes County, West Linn, Beaverton, and Multnomah County Libraries Steven Engelfried is retiring! During this time he served on one Caldecott and two Newbery (one as Chair in 2013!) award committees, as well as proved himself a master librarian/manager/storyteller/puppeteer (and much more). While he will continue to keep one toe in the literary world with projects like SLJ's Heavy Medal blog, he begins this new journey at the end of January. A small retirement celebration will be held on Friday, January 21st with current safety protocols.
