Bookmobile Outreach Specialist - 20 hours - Closes 5/1 (reposted)
Beaverton City Library is debuting a small, grant-funded bookmobile in summer 2023! We're outfitting a brand-new, all-electric Ford eTransit van to be a mobile branch of the library. It will provide weekly visits to sites around Beaverton, bringing books and other materials directly to the community for checkout. We're seeking an Outreach Specialist to help run the bookmobile. We're looking for someone who is:

  *   Enthusiastic about connecting with community members and organizations
  *   Excited to spend about 75% of your time out in the community
  *   Comfortable (or willing to get comfortable) driving a Ford eTransit van
  *   Detail-oriented and has top-notch planning skills
  *   Dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in library services

Summer Reading (Seasonal) Reference Assistant - temporary positions: 20 hours - 2 positions - Closes 5/7
In this job you will spend most of your work week at our reference (customer service) desks, interacting with hundreds of patrons of all ages each week and providing exceptional customer service in a busy environment.

Our ideal candidate:

  *   Is enthusiastic about libraries and wants to share everything the library has to offer
  *   Loves working with people of all ages
  *   Thrives in a busy work environment
  *   Communicates effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position: 20 hours per week, from June-August. Schedules included in posting.
