Did you know that you can use library databases and tools provided by Gale to enhance accessibility and encourage informed decision-making for library users? These resources can help to

  *   Locate reliable information from multiple points of view that can help with voting decisions this November
  *   Find news articles originally written in Spanish
  *   Improve the display of articles for those with vision impairment
  *   Use text-to-speech tools to adjust reading speeds for English language learners

In this session, Stacey Knibloe, Oregon's training specialist from Gale, will highlight the resources in Opposing Viewpoints In Context and Informe Académico.

  *   Opposing Viewpoints can help your work with library users to locate reliable information this election season.
  *   Informe Académico can help meet the increasing interest in current articles and news published originally in Spanish.

Along the way, you'll learn more about the translation and accessibility tools embedded in all Gale databases. Bring along your own laptop or tablet to follow along, or Hillsboro Library will also have some extra devices available for use. Drop in as you can, or stay for the full two hours to take a deeper dive in learning more about the online resources available to all Oregon libraries.
