Happy Summer!  It’s time to start thinking of Back to School and the Certificate in Public Management program has some great modules ready for you.  They are already filling up, so register now.

Is it time to brush up your presentation skills?  Business Communication: Speaking happens in September.  This very popular module will build your skills in making public presentations.  Whether it’s a staff meeting or a legislative committee, your presentations after taking this module will be clear, organized and delivered with confidence.

In October we offer one of our foundation modules, Follow the Money: Budget and Finance in the Public Sector.  Understanding how budgets are built and used in government is a critical skill for all public managers.  This module will cover the principles of public budgeting and financial management, discuss use of public funds, and look at performance management and accountability.

Process Maps and LEAN Principles for Managers
November/December is a NEW module and will help managers understand and improve key business processes through the skill of process mapping.  This includes tools and templates and discussion of how LEAN can be used in your process improvement efforts.
