Introducing AMIA's first online learning series!
Beginning in September, AMIA is offering three webinar series intended to further education in the archival moving image profession, as well as to provide introduction to these topics to the broader libraries and archives community at www.AMIAOnline.org
Series 1. Introduction to Digital Formats and Storage. This eight webinar series focuses on digital file formats, storage and transfer workflows. The series includes:
· Introduction to Digital Formats and Concepts
· Audio: Part 1 – Formats
· Audio: Part 2 - Digital Audio Workflows
· Video: Part 1 – Formats
· Video: Part 2 - Video Workflows
· Film: Part 1 - Digital Film Formats
· Film: Part 2 - Digital Film Workflows
· Digital Storage and Infrastructure
·The series begins September 15 and runs through October 20th. You can register for the full series, or for individual sessions.
Series 2 . Best Practices for Personal Audiovisual Collections. This two webinar series is intended for families and individuals with audiovisual collections they wish to preserve. The series includes one overview session and one session on digitization. The webinars will be September 29 and October 1, 2015.
Series 3 . Best Practices for Small Audiovisual Archives. This two webinar seriesis directed to small institutions with audiovisual collections and limited staff The series includes one overview session and one session on digitization. The webinars will be October 6 and October 8, 2015.
