Greetings all.
Today the Washington State Library announced a new LSTA grant opportunity for public, academic, and tribal libraries in Washington. Metadata Enhancement & Remediation Grants (pilot project) are intended to help institutions bring their digital collection metadata up to the minimum standards required by the Digital Public Library of America. The deadline for applications is June 10, 2016. Full project description, guidelines, and grant application are available here: http://www.sos.wa.gov/library/libraries/grants/grants.aspx#MER2016
We're also offering our annual Washington Rural Heritage grants to support public and tribal libraries in digitizing historical & special collections materials. The deadline for that grant is May 25, 2016. Guidelines and application here: http://www.sos.wa.gov/library/libraries/grants/grants.aspx#WRH2016
If you have any questions about either of these grant cycles, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks,
Evan Robb
