*Subject:* Feedback Wanted: Arts Interpretation

Hello IFC chairs,

I’m looking forward to today’s State of the States web meeting! One of the
topics I wanted to bring to your attention during the meeting is about a
new Library Bill of Rights interpretation draft, crafted by the ALA
Intellectual Freedom Committee. The ALA Intellectual Freedom Committee
would appreciate feedback on “Visual and Performing Arts in Libraries: An
Interpretation of the Library Bill of Rights.” *Would you mind sharing the
following information with your committee members*? I can also answer
questions you might have during the meeting.

ALA members are invited to post feedback on the draft interpretation
by *Friday,
December 15*. Feedback can be posted in the following two ways:

· Use this Google doc
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FpTCPvo-YyPEd4EM8BYhhntWHKqiw8LdjspBil5lTTI/edit?usp=sharing>to
post your comments. The IFC requests that you ONLY post comments on this
document, and not edit the document directly. It also requests that you
share the link to this Google doc draft with only the ALA community. To
post a comment, select “Insert” in the top menu, and then click “Comment.”
Comments may be posted anonymously (if you’re not signed into a Google
account) or publicly (if you’re signed into your Google account).

· Post suggestions to this ALA Connect post
<http://connect.ala.org/node/271208>, either as a comment or by attaching a
“track changes” version of the provided Word document.

The Intellectual Freedom Committee will revise the draft interpretation in
light of your suggestions and may bring it to Council forum at the upcoming
Midwinter Conference.

Thank you!

Ellie
