The open access journal *College and Research Libraries* published an
interesting article in their most recent issue:

Oltmann, S. (2017). Intellectual Freedom in Academic Libraries: Surveying
Deans about Its Significance
<http://crl.acrl.org/index.php/crl/article/view/16733>. *College & Research
Libraries, 78*(6), 741.

The author's survey is far from comprehensive, but the results are a little
disturbing. In many cases there was minimal training related to
intellectual freedom and some respondents had a loose interpretation of ALA

I'd be curious to hear the thoughts of academic librarians in Oregon
regarding this study and its findings.
