Some of you may have been following the news about George (by Alex Gino), one of the books included on the Oregon Battle of the Books 2018-19 reading list for 3rd to 5th graders.  The book is about a transgender girl and her experiences coming out to her family and best friend.  Media coverage of school districts' responses to the book has picked up over the last few days:
