Greetings,

Once again, the American Library Association has provided a myriad of resources to help us inform folks about privacy issues: https://chooseprivacyeveryday.org/.

>From the "Choose Privacy Week" home page:

"This year's theme for Choose Privacy Week (May 1-7, 2019) - "Inclusive Privacy: Closing the Gap" - draws attention to the privacy inequities imposed on vulnerable and historically underrepresented populations and highlights how libraries can close the privacy gap for those who need it most."

If you're a library worker, please consider putting up a display or infusing discussion of privacy issues in your interactions with patrons. And check your privacy, data management, and security practices against the best practices linked from ALA's Guidelines & Checklists for Libraries page: https://chooseprivacyeveryday.org/resources/guidelines-checklists-for-libraries/.
