From Katie.HENRY at oprd.oregon.gov Thu Dec 2 08:35:55 2021 From: Katie.HENRY at oprd.oregon.gov (HENRY Katie * OPRD) Date: Thu, 2 Dec 2021 16:35:55 +0000 Subject: [OR_Archaeology] LAST REMINDER: OR Archaeology and Review and Compliance listserve merge Message-ID: OR ARCHAEOLOGY LISTSERV AND REVIEW AND COMPLIANCE LISTSERV MERGE WITH OREGON HERITAGE NEWS In an effort to consolidate our communications, Oregon Heritage, which includes the State Historic Preservation Office, will be merging the Oregon Archaeology Listserv and the Review and Compliance listserv with the Oregon Heritage News Listserv. When will the changeover occur? We will stop using the Oregon Archaeology Listserv and the Review and Compliance Listserv on Dec. 2. Why are we making this change? This decision was made by analyzing staff capacity and communication effectiveness moving forward. We want to make sure that all of our stakeholder groups and customers receive the same information related to our services and programs in addition to providing relevant news related to the broad spectrum of heritage preservation. What will be the difference? The Oregon Heritage News is a weekly collection of relevant news related to heritage preservation in Oregon. Things such as trainings, conferences, job announcements, funding opportunities, relevant news, and Oregon Heritage/SHPO announcements are included. We aim to keep the news message to once a week unless there is a special announcement from our office. This is a one-way listserv only so replies to the news do not get sent to the group. Can we send items to the Oregon Heritage News editor for consideration? YES! We always welcome submissions for the Oregon Heritage News related to job announcements in Oregon, trainings, workshops, conferences, and other relevant news and resources. We are unable to run individual events for organizations unless we do a call for events related to a certain month such as Oregon Archaeology Month in October or Historic Preservation Month in May. You can submit news items for consideration by emailing them to heritage.info at oprd.oregon.gov. The Heritage News aims to go out on Thursdays so news items can be submitted up until Wednesday. How do we get onto the Oregon Heritage News Listserv? Two ways to do this: 1) sign up by visiting here OR 2) wait until Dec. 1 and you will automatically be subscribed to the Oregon Heritage news. What if I don't want to automatically be subscribed to the Oregon Heritage News? If you don't want to be automatically subscribed to the Oregon heritage News Listserv then you should go to the corresponding listserv page below before Dec. 1, scroll down to the bottom until you see the place for you to enter your email to unsubscribe or change your options and follow the prompts.
