Marine Board to Hold Third Non-Motorized External Advisory Committee Meeting in Salem

              As part of the Marine Board's 2011-2016 strategic plan, an external advisory committee will convene for their third meeting on January 24 at the Department of Forestry office, 2600 State Street, Building C (Tillamook Room) in Salem, from 9 am to 4 pm.
            The advisory committee is comprised of a wide variety of stakeholders, from organized clubs to private citizens from around the state.  The non-motorized external advisory committee will be making recommendations to the Marine Board on how to best engage and incorporate non-motorized boaters into the future mission of the agency and meet the ever-evolving needs of all boating user groups.
Marine Board staff will be facilitating the meeting with the following agenda:

*       Presentation of data requested by the committee members

*       Budget presentation

*       Group discussion exercise

*       Debrief from the group discussion
The public is invited to attend this meeting, however; comments will not be permitted.  The meeting is accessible for persons with disabilities.  Persons needing some form of assistance to participate in this meeting due to a disability should contact Ashley Massey at 503-378-2623 by Wednesday, January 23.
