Marine Board Extending Hours on May 23 to Accommodate Boaters

              The Marine Board office will be staying open until 6 pm on Thursday, May 23 to help out boaters who need their boat title, registration, boater education card, aquatic invasive species permit or other business needs before heading out for the long, Memorial Day Weekend.  The Marine Board is located at 435 Commercial Street NE, in Salem.  State offices will be closed for a mandatory furlough on Friday, May 24.
            Memorial Day Weekend is the official kick-off to the boating season and with this spring's fabulous weather, the waterways are the perfect escape.  Plan your boating adventure using the Marine Board's interactive boating access map<http://www.oregon.gov/OSMB/pages/access/access.aspx#Where_to_Launch_in_Oregon> where you can find nearby boat ramps, clear gasoline retailers, pumpout and dump stations, and find out what other amenities are available.
