Marine Board to Hold Board Meeting June 25-26

              The Oregon State Marine Board will hold a Board meeting on June 25 to discuss Round One boating facility grants from 1 pm to 4:30 pm at the Marine Board office, 435 Commercial Street NE, in Salem.  On June 26, the Board will reconvene at 9 am in the same location.
            The Marine Board will consider the following items:

*       Oregon Administrative Rules -open  rulemaking to comply with the actions taken during the 2013 Oregon Legislative session;

*       Boat Operations in Lane County -A petition will be introduced to open rulemaking in order to establish a slow -no wake zone on a portion of shoreline on Fern Ridge Reservoir.  There will be an opportunity for public testimony.

*       Boat operations in Clackamas County on the Willamette River.  A petition will be introduced to open rulemaking in order to move the slow -no wake and wake enhancing device exclusion cutoff from the 219 Bridge to Champoeg Park.

*       Establish a slow -no wake zone 500 feet upstream and downstream of the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Bridge construction.

The Board will hold an executive session pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(i) where members of the public and Marine Board staff will be excused temporarily and will be invited back at the conclusion of the discussion.  In addition, the Board will also hear section program reports and elect a new Board Chair and Vice-Chair.
