Hi Everyone,

It's time to vote for our 2013-2014 Officers. Please complete the Survey Monkey survey by May 24th! You will be voting to fill four positions! Here are the people running for each position:

Vice-Chair/Chair Elect
Sonja Summerville, Salem Public Library
Sonja Somerville is a recovering journalist and former grant developer who came into the wonderful world of libraries 10 years ago as the Community Relations Coordinator for Salem Public Library. She became so fond of the mission and work of libraries that she earned her MLIS and jumped at an opportunity to become Salem's Teen Librarian in 2011, opening the new Teen Scene area just four days later. She is also the mother of two daughters (currently 13 and 16), the owner of two dogs, wife of one high school teacher, and a compulsive community volunteer.

Secretary
Danielle Jones, Tualatin Public Library
Danielle landed in Portland 17 years ago by way of Idaho and Wyoming. She will be graduating in June from the University of Washington with her MLIS and is ready to take the library world by storm. When she isn't dreaming about life in Avonlea or Stars Hollow, cooking, reading, or simultaneously doing all three; she can often be found getting rained on or sunburned on one of the Northwest's amazing hiking trails.

Publications Manager
Barratt Miller, Crook County Library
Barratt Miller is the Youth Services Librarian at the Crook County Library in sunny Prineville. She's the youth services manager and works with children/teens age 0-18. Her favorite teen program is Anime Club.

Elvira Sanchez-Kisser, Woodburn Public Library I am the new Adult Services Librarian which includes teen programming at the Woodburn Public Library having started in January of this year. I have been assisting with teen programming as a part-time reference librarian since 2011 by starting the library's first teen gaming night and have continued to expand the programs offered to our area teens. I am new to OYAN having come from an academic library background and am excited to be a part of OYAN and working with young adults.
