Please consider taking this survey. It took me 2 minutes. The link is below. The same survey was posted on Libs-Or, the OASL listserv, and Kids-Lib.

Thanks,
Jen

Dear MaryKay Dahlgreen,

My name is Ame Maloney, and I'm an MLIS student at San José State University's iSchool. My classmate, Kate Spaulding, and I are conducting research in preparation for the Special Libraries Association (SLA) Annual Conference in June, where we are presenting. I am writing to ask you to help us.

As the State Librarian of Oregon, would you be willing to share our survey with your staff and your state's librarians? It would very helpful, as we'd really like to get a geographically diverse sample of LIS career paths.

We are working independently of any institutional affiliation, though we're both currently graduate students at San José State University’s iSchool. We are specifically seeking participants who have an MLIS (or equivalent) and work in the broad LIS field in the US.

We hope to determine the career impact that participating in LIS professional organizations has for LIS students.

For a complete consent form, as well as to start the survey, please follow this link: https://goo.gl/vP4faE It's very short and should take less than 5 minutes to complete.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you,

Ame Maloney
