Hi OYANers!
Multnomah County Library is excited to be hosting critically acclaimed YA
and middle-grade author *A.S. King** 7 pm, Tuesday, May 2, 2017*, at
Taborspace in southeast Portland. We hope you can join us!

Printz honoree A.S. (Amy) King writes provocative novels that balance raw,
unflinching depictions of trauma with magic realist elements, humor, and
hope. The New York Times has said of her work: “Maybe there are writers
more adept than King at capturing the outrageous and outraged voice of
teenagers, but it’s difficult to think of one.”
The event is *free*; book sale and signing to follow. A.S. King’s visit is
made possible by gifts to The Library Foundation
<https://t.e2ma.net/click/wdovk/onq5am/g9d8yc>, a local nonprofit dedicated
to our library's leadership, innovation and reach through private support.
