A Letter From YALSA's Executive Director
April 10, 2020
Dear YALSA Members,
We hope that you and yours are doing well. As the situation with COVID-19 evolves, things are changing rapidly, and YALSA wants to make sure you have the membership support and resources to navigate through these challenging and uncertain times. ALA and YALSA are here for you during this challenging moment in history to support you. You are not alone, and we are in this together.
I want to encourage you to connect with your colleagues and share your recommendations on April 28, 2020, at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm CST. YALSA will hold its first virtual Brown Bag discussion, "Returning to the New Normal – Teen Services Programming." The library community is a great support system that possesses a tremendous wealth of compassion, expertise, and knowledge. Take a break, check-in, and chime in on how you plan to modify, build, or modernize teen services in your library once this pandemic has passed. YALSA President Todd Krueger will facilitate this free event. Details on registration will be sent in the next E-Newsletter.
YALSA and ALA's staffs’ commitment to quality customer service has not stopped during these challenging times. If you aren't familiar with ALA's discussion platform, ALA Connect<https://ala.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b9b7f12a0545b1a14ef19a691&id=9abd6afc7f&e=0da9e8e774>, now is an excellent opportunity to become acquainted with it.
