Hello everybody,

We made it to Friday! I’ve been following many of your social media posts and am grateful for the continued work you are all doing to share critically important information like Oregon’s reopening plan, updates from your county health departments,  storytime rhymes and songs, Oregon tenant law updates, info about food distribution sites – the full gamut of services libraries always provide is reflected across your platforms. Thank you for your continued work to support your community in this challenging time.

I’m forwarding the Oregon Coast Stem Hub newsletter below for two reasons: 1) there are some pretty great ideas for links to use in social media for local Oregon resources and 2) if you haven’t joined your region’s STEM hubs newsletter, now is a good time! TIPS FOR PARENTS and GUARDIANS

1. Take it one step at a time: You don't have to do everything; pick one or two activities that add learning and structure to your day and meet the interests of your children.

2. Tap into the resources you have: Do you have a kitchen? Back yard? Tools? Internet access? Look for activities that you can do with the assets you already have at home.

3. Strive for balanced routines: Plan time in your day for learning, exercise, creativity, and free choice.
