Hi Folks,

Voting is open for the Oregon Reader's Choice Award<https://www.olaweb.org/orca> (ORCA) (for youth in grades 3-12) and the Beverly Cleary Children's Choice Award<https://ola.memberclicks.net/bccca-home> (BCCCA) (aimed at any reader with a reading level of K-5th grades). Not familiar with those programs? Follow the links for more information and consider participating next year. Below are details about how to have students vote for their favorite ORCA and/or BCCCA title. Voting is open through April 10 (BCCCA) and April 14 (ORCA).

Dear Teachers and School Library and Public Library Staff,
         Please encourage your students in schools and public libraries across the United States to participate in voting for their favorite 2022-2023 BCCCA nominated title! Readers with reading levels of K-5th grades who have read or listened to at least two of the nominated books may vote for their one favorite title. The BCCCA Contest opens on March 15th and ends on April 10th, 2023 at 6 PM!

*  Show readers the animoto, slideshow and/or the short video clips that accompany these nominees.
*  Read aloud as many of this year's seven nominations as possible.
*  Remind readers that as long as they've read or listened to TWO or more of the BCCCA nominations, each of them can vote for their one very favorite title. Readers need to realize that they need to finish at least 2 of the books by the date that the adult administering the BCCCA program chooses to end the contest.

Only the adult administering the BCCCA program enters the final tallies using the Google BCCCA Adult Online Submission Form. That link is open from March 15th on the BCCCA website.  Students do not enter their votes online. Adults, please submit all votes that each book has received. BCCCA Adult Online Submission Forms MUST be received by 6 PM on Sunday, April 10th to be counted.

The winning 2022-2023 BCCCA title will be announced on Beverly Cleary's 107th birthday, April 12, 2023 along with the new 2023-2024 BCCCA Nominations!
