Nominate for the 2025 OYAN Book Rave!

Young Adult book fans! The time has come to nominate books for the 2024 OYAN Book Rave!

Book Rave is an annual list produced by the members of the Oregon Young Adult Network and announced in April. Books nominated should be written and marketed for readers of middle and high school age and be published between November 1, 2023 and December 31, 2024.

NOMINATE TODAY!<https://forms.gle/oN3PcVh8ticmR4vY7>

Nominations will be collected until November 16, 2023. OYAN members will then be invited to vote on the nominated books, narrowing the list to approximately 20 OYAN Book Rave selections. The list is further discussed at the winter meeting of the Oregon Young Adult Network, which will be held on January 31, 2025.

The goals are:

  * To provide libraries across Oregon with a vibrant, reliable, high quality list of recommended fiction and nonfiction purchases for readers of middle and high school age (generally 6th-12th grade)
  * To include a variety of genres (fantasy, science fiction, realistic fiction, historical fiction, nonfiction, mystery, etc.)
  * To represent a diverse mix of authors and stories, reflecting a mix of cultural, sexual, gender, socioeconomic identities and experiences.
  * To highlight at least 2 books each year written by Oregon authors and/or set in Oregon.

This list does not include graphic novels. OYAN also organizes a separate Graphic Rave list published in the fall.

Please nominate early and often!!
