[OYAN] Youth Media Awards 2025

Hello everyone,

This past weekend OYAN hosted a Mock Printz award<https://oyanpeeps.wordpress.com/2024/11/01/oyan-mock-printz-book-list-and-invitation/> and teens and library staff alike came to discuss potential Printz winners - it was such a fun afternoon hearing what everyone thought about these excellent books. The actual 2025 Printz winner is graphic novel Brownstone, which ended up (I think, someone correct me if I'm wrong!) - 3rd in our mock award.

Big thanks to OYAN members Kristy Kemper-Hodge, Lorene Foreman, and Lindsey Quigley-Johnson for their work to make the mock list, and to Kristy especially for coordinating the day at Salem Public Library. Just seeing a tiny glimpse of the work they did made me think how much work goes into the awards from librarians all over the country!
