[PL-Directors] ANNOUNCEMENT: Public Library Directors Meeting

On behalf of Andy Swanson and Public Library Directors:
A Public Library Directors Meeting  is scheduled for Monday, November 17, 2008 in the Oregon State Library first floor meeting room (102 & 103) 250 Winter St, Salem, OR. The meeting will start at 10:30 a.m. and last until 4:00 p.m.  The tentative agenda is first introductions and sharing and second planning for future meetings.  Lunch will be catered.  During lunch Michael Gaston will share his experiences working in Oregon libraries one more time.  Michael will soon be retiring.  After lunch there will be time to hear from the State Library, hear about L-Net, and Open Source ILS.  Molly Raphael will then review the bringing diversity to library service and workplace and the significance of receiving Arthur Flemming Civil Rights Award.
Please RSVP before October 1st so that plans can be made for a "network" breakfast and happy-hour/dinner.
