[PL-Directors] Request from the Ford Family Foundation

Dear Directors:
Keavy Cook at the Ford Family Foundation is in need of data about the cost per square foot of new public library construction.

If you have constructed a new free-standing building in the past 6-8 years or so, and know the approximate cost per square foot to construct your building, excluding the site and the furnishings, I would like for you to send me that information. Please include the name of the facility and the year it opened.

In order to make this an apples to apples comparison I don't need to know about projects that converted an existing building. I only want to know about brand new buildings that were built from the ground up.

I will appreciate hearing from you about this so I can pass along the information to the Ford Family Foundation.
