Greetings!
Here's a great opportunity to take part in a national campaign promoting how libraries have changed by engaging with their local community!
What is Outside the Lines?
Inspired by the urgent need to shift perceptions of libraries, a group of Colorado library marketers and directors have developed a bold, new campaign that reintroduces libraries to their communities and gets people thinking - and talking - about these organizations in a whole new way. Outside the Lines<http://www.getoutsidethelines.org> is a weeklong celebration demonstrating the creativity and innovation happening in libraries.
First launched in September of 2014, Outside the Lines returns this Sept. 13-19, 2015. During last year's OTL, more than 175 participating library organizations from across the United States and Canada reintroduced themselves to their communities in many creative and meaningful ways such as:
* leading community members on a nature hike
* handing out gift-wrapped bestsellers on Main Street
* bringing a warm cup of coffee to folks at the Laundromat
Interested in participating or just want to learn more?
You are invited to join a special webinar to connect, ask questions and learn best practices from last year's participants. We'll cover a variety of topics from brainstorming relevant OTL ideas to rallying your staff. Session offered via Adobe Connect at http://connect.enetcolorado.org/librarycommunity/. No registration necessary.
Visit the website and sign up for more information: http://getoutsidethelines.org/ -- if you know you're already interested, you can follow their Facebook page to brainstorm on possible ideas for the 2015 campaign at: https://www.facebook.com/GetOutsideTheLines
Cheers,
Darci
