[PL-Directors] Beverly Cleary Birthday bookmark template to print more bookmarks

Hi Public Library Directors,

As promised, I'm sending you the templates for the Beverly Cleary birthday bookmark so you can print more if you would like. The attached template with four bookmarks is probably best for printing in-house at your library and the template with one bookmark is probably best for sending out to a professional printer. If you use the four bookmarks template, be sure to print only one to make sure it prints properly (top to top). If it prints top to bottom, then you'll need to adjust your printer settings and test it again before printing multiple copies.

Hi Public Library Directors,

April 12th is Beverly Cleary's 100th birthday. The Oregon State Library, Oregon Library Association, and Oregon Public Broadcasting have partnered to put together some resources to help public libraries celebrate! State Library staff are putting the birthday envelopes in the mail today and tomorrow. You should receive your birthday envelope by the end of this week or early next week (one box per library).

The birthday envelope includes:

*         Cover letter

*         Information about an Instagram contest for you and your patrons

*         Bookmarks with new, original art created by Ramona illustrator Tracy Dockray

*         DVD of the OPB's Oregon Art Beat episode "Discovering Beverly Cleary" which will air on OPB TV April 7th and 9th

*         Balloons: 3 that say "Happy Birthday Beverly Cleary" and 2 plain balloons

You are receiving a birthday envelope because of a generous donation from OPB. If you want to thank them for the "Discovering Beverly Cleary" DVD, balloons, and original art on the bookmark, they would probably appreciate hearing a very brief description of how your community responded to viewing the "Discovering Beverly Cleary" DVD.
