The Research Institute for Public Libraries (RIPL) has announced a series of regional events for 2019. Salt Lake City is likely the easiest to get to for most of us, March 6-7, 2019.

I’m writing with an update about future Research Institute for Public Libraries (RIPL) events. The next national event will occur in summer 2020. We will announce the dates, location, and other details in spring 2019.
Are you interested in participating in a RIPL event before then? We have four regional events and one preconference planned in 2019. What is a RIPL Regional? It’s a scaled-down version of the national data boot camp<https://ripl.lrs.org/> – 2 days, 4 instructors, and approximately 50 participants (depending on the event) that provides the training necessary to begin using data and evaluation for managing, planning, and communicating impact.
Here is the 2019 schedule:
Salt Lake City, Utah, March 6-7, 2019: See the event webpage for details: https://ripl.lrs.org/ut2019/. Registration opens January 15.
Virginia, June 2019 (tentative): Dates, location, and other details will be announced in winter 2019.
Lansing, Michigan, August 7-8, 2019: Details will be announced in winter 2019.
Burlington, Vermont, 1-day preconference at the Association for Rural and Small Libraries Conference<https://arsl.info/annual-conference/>, September 4-7, 2019: Details TBA.
Billings, Montana, October 7-8, 2019: Details will be announced in spring 2019.
As event information becomes available, it will be shared on the RIPL website and posted to this email list.
