At this director's meeting we will be discussing the State Library's preliminary ideas for the CARES Act funding. The State Library has received from the IMLS a one-time allotment of $381,108 to be spent on these focus areas:


*       Primarily to address digital inclusion and related technical support

*       Secondarily to address other efforts that prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19
The IMLS has also directed state library agencies target CARES Act-funded efforts by using data sources (Poverty/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); Unemployment; Broadband availability) to help identify areas of high need.
