Public Library Directors are invited to attend the Public Library Division's Library Directors meeting on October 27th at the Albany Public Library from 9am-3pm.

Agenda PLD Library Director Meeting October 27th
9am Arrive and breakfast snacks
9:15-9:45am Introductions (Icebreaker: What was your first library job?)
9:45am Working effectively with elected officials and city administration. The Mayor of Sweet Home and the City Manager for Sweet Home will be leading the discussion.
10:45am Break
11am – Small table discussion
Noon – Lunch
1pm – Small table discussion
2pm- All attendee discussion – strategies and current practices for book ban related issues/Freedom to Read
3pm – Wrap up

Universal design
Broadband partnerships/Affordable Connectivity Program
Funding/grant writing
PLA Benchmark Survey
Library card access
Services for the unhoused
Mental health awareness for staff
