Greetings Library Directors – just a quick reminder about this upcoming online conference:

& FREE Registration for Oregon Libraries



The State Library of Oregon is pleased to announce that we are offering  free registration to the 2024 United for Libraries Virtual Conference<https://www.ala.org/united/events_conferences/virtual>. Library directors, staff, volunteers, board members, and members of Friends Groups and Foundations (regardless of library type) are all eligible. The conference will be online, July 30 – August 1.


Registration includes live attendance and access to recordings to three full days of programming, keynote featuring author Eric Klinenberg, and the virtual Gala Author Tea. Individuals may attend any/all sessions live and/or watch on-demand.

New for 2024 – Themed Days!

  *   Tuesday, July 30: Trustees/Board Members Day
  *   Wednesday, July 31: Foundations / Fundraising Day
  *   Thursday, August 1: Friends of the Library Day

How to register:

There are four ways to register, choose just one! 😊

Register via the ALA eLearning Website
Individuals can register via the Oregon Statewide Access<https://elearning.ala.org/mod/subcourse/view.php?id=39823> (must already have an account and signed up for “Oregon Statewide Access” to Trustees Resources, etc.) You will be prompted to login if not already logged in.

Register via the Statewide Free Registration Form
Individuals can submit their registration information via the Statewide Free Registration<https://airtable.com/app8UwsWKzItvRk1S/pagDvJhM5bdB0zJrP/form> form. Please allow one business day for registration.

Register by sending an email to United for Libraries
Individuals can email united at ala.org<mailto:united at ala.org>. Be sure to include all of the following information:

·       your full name

·       your email address

·       name of the library you’re associated with

·       primary role on behalf of your library (staff, board member, Friends, Foundation, etc.)

Allow one business day for registration.

Bulk Registration
Library directors may email united at ala.org<mailto:united at ala.org> and register multiple individuals, including the following information for each individual:

  *   Full name
  *   Email address
  *   Library name
  *   Primary role on behalf of the library (staff, board member, Friends, Foundation, etc.)

Allow two business days for registration.
