Q: We’re just planning to do an early literacy story time this year. I want to get some posters, wall hangings, etc. to make the kids area more visually attractive and, hopefully, more interesting and exciting place for the kids to come into. On my budget sheet, where do I put the budgeted money for these things?
A: Posters, wall-hangings, storytime carpet and other environmental pieces that are not equipment nor library materials should go in "other". If you aren't certain which budget category to put an item in A) ask me, or B) put it in the "Other" category.
Here is a sample budget based on the project described in the question:
