That's the plan! The State Library assumes some of you are interested, but just don't have the systems in place to do direct deposit yet so we'll be asking every year about for the next several years.

While, we don't want direct deposit now, I would suggest that you ask us each year or so as our circumstances might change.

Dear Library Directors and Ready to Read Key Contacts,

The State Library is now offering a direct deposit option for Ready to Read/Reading for Success grants. Last year you were surveyed about this option and expressed concern around the communication of direct deposits. To address those concerns, in December the State Library will send an email on the Ready to Read listserv stating that electronic deposits have been made and checks are in the mail. All libraries will receive the same hardcopy packet of grant management information in the mail, but libraries that wish to continue receiving a check will also receive their check and libraries that opt in to electronic deposit will receive a bright-colored memo reminding them their grant funds have been deposited electronically.

All libraries must reply to ferol.weyand at state.or.us<mailto:ferol.weyand at state.or.us> by Friday, May 15th to let me know:

*         Yes, LIBRARY NAME wants to sign-up for direct deposit.

*         No, LIBRARY NAME does not want direct deposit.

If you do not want direct deposit, I'll reply to let you know you're on the list of libraries receiving a check in the mail.

If you want direct deposit, I'll reply and provide you with the form and instructions you need to sign-up for direct deposit. You will be added to the list of libraries receiving direct deposit.
