Subject: [PL-Directors] Ready to Read grant redistribution

Hello all-

In the next couple of days you will be receiving a check from the state library that is the re-distribution of the Douglas County Library 2016-2017 Douglas County Ready to Read Grant. As you know, the Douglas County Library closed this spring and they had not spent the grant funding so have returned it to the state library. We are redistributing those funds to current grantees using the distribution formula required by Oregon Revised Statute 357.780 with a minimum amount of $50.

Please do the following:

*         Add this money to your 2017 Ready to Read grant budget.

*         Spend this money on early literacy projects for 0-6 year olds and/or summer reading projects for 0-14 year olds.

o   If you are spending it on something that is not in your 2017 Ready to Read grant application, then you must contact Katie Anderson (katie.anderson at state.or.us<mailto:katie.anderson at state.or.us> or 503-378-2528) to request a change to your grant.

o   If you are spending it to improve or expand something that is currently in your 2017 Ready to Read grant application, then proceed with your grant-funded activities.

*         Report how you spend this money on your end of year report-report forms will be available in October and due December 1, 2017.

*         Spend this money by December 31, 2017.
