[R2R-OR] Ready to Read: Darci Hanning is interim contact at the State Library

As most of you know, today is my last day at the State Library. Please contact Darci Hanning (503-378-2527, darci.hanning at state.or.us<mailto:darci.hanning at state.or.us>) regarding Ready to Read. She will be your Ready to Read key contact at the State Library until the new Youth Services Consultant is hired.

Visiting your libraries, learning about your early literacy and summer reading programs, and getting to know you all was my favorite part of being the Youth Services Consultant. I hope I will still see many of you at the Oregon Library Association's Annual Conferences, OLA's Children's Services Division workshops, and Oregon Young Adult Network meetings!

For those of you who haven't heard about my departure... I've been at the State Library for over a decade and it's time for me to continue my career in a new place with fresh challenges. I've loved my work and colleagues at the State Library. There aren't many jobs like it. Therefore, I tossed my hat into the ring for the Youth Services position at Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS). My first day at WCCLS is October 2, 2017.
