[R2R-OR] 2026 Ready to Read Applications Open

Hello everyone,

This e-mail is to let you know:


  1.  2026 Ready to Read applications are open! We've physically mailed preliminary grant amounts to your libraries. You can find everything you need to know online at the LibGuide here<https://slo.oregon.gov/readytoreadgrant/applicationguidelines>.
  2.  Office hours are happening again this summer - first one is Thursday at 9am: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3170707432?omn=84013546928
  3.  In their spring budget hearing, the Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC) proposed allocating some funds to Ready to Read as a way to strengthen their partnership with libraries and support the work you're already doing with early literacy. The DELC budget passed but at a lower-than-expected amount. We're waiting to hear if they still plan to make this allocation. If it happens, the allocation would slightly increase your grant amounts. We wanted to let you know about this possibility just in case!
