Hello Ready to Read folks,

After the State Librarian's message to the library community last Friday about potential federal funding scenarios impacting the State Library's 2025-2026 staff, programs, and services, I wanted to make sure you all know that Ready to Read funding comes from Oregon state funds. We are proceeding as planned with the 2026 Ready to Read application and reporting process. Applications will open July 1st, as they do every year.

If your library has experienced staffing changes with who is responsible for the Ready to Read application, please let me know so we can make sure we are communicating with the right person. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm happy to meet with anyone who would like to discuss their specific situation.
