From TERRI at tigard-or.gov Thu Feb 5 11:34:18 2009 From: TERRI at tigard-or.gov (Terri Smith) Date: Thu, 5 Feb 2009 11:34:18 -0800 Subject: [Reading-For-Healthy-Families] SRP performer with intergenerational appeal? Message-ID: Hi Everyone, Has anyone had experience with this performer?? Tommy Twimble "Influenced by Jacques Lecog and the 'new vaudeville', Thomas Schroyer introduces his new character into the world, Tommy Twimble. This style of physical theater combines elements of object/hat manipulation, mime, burlesque, old world clown, and live music. Thomas writes his own material, builds many of his own props and creates much of his own music. His lively sketches are cross generational bringing the charm of physical comedy and vaudeville into his modern storytelling. The performance runs about 45 minutes." Send thoughts as soon as possible. Thx so much, Terri Smith Tigard Public Library Phone 503-718-2523 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I have been busy updating the RFHF website. A few of you requested a direct link to the booklists. Here it is: http://www.oregon.gov/OSL/LD/youthsvcs/rfhf.book.selection.shtml You'll find links to lists of children's book that are multicultural, portray nontraditional gender roles, children with disabilities, and sexual orientation. FYI: I unsuccessfully upload the PowerPoint presentations from the Bilingual Language Development and Working With Parents Special Topics Trainer. I hope to schedule a tutorial to learn how to do this next week so I can make them available to you! Remember, to send an email to everyone on this list address it to: reading-for-healthy-families at listsmart.osl.state.or.us.
