They just added 10 new videos, including 4 in Spanish. Storyblocks is a project of CLEL-Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy-that produces short videos featuring librarians demonstrating a rhyme or song and delivering an early literacy tip. The videos are great for parents, library staff, and ECE educators alike. Produced by Colorado's PBS station, they're great quality. They can be sorted into English or Spanish, as well as age group (babies, toddlers, and preschoolers). About a third are in Spanish. The awards will happen next February. In the meantime, last Friday they announced their Silver Bells... these are books published within the last 25 years that represent what they're going for: http://www.clel.org/content/bell-awards-silver-bells There are some wonderful books on the list. Definitely worth taking a look at, if you aren't already familiar with them.
