Hello Everyone,

We have scheduled a DPP Lifestyle Coach training here at OHSU on 4/10-4/11/18.  Initially this was to be an internal training for OHSU staff.  Coincidentally, I have been receiving inquiries about the next Lifestyle Coach training in the Portland area.  Accordingly, we are opening up this training as a regional training for any interested individuals.  Please see below, as well as the attached flyer for training details.  Thanks!

Is your organization planning on delivering the National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) lifestyle change program - the nation's foremost evidence-based program for the prevention of type 2 diabetes? The Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center at OHSU and the Diabetes Training and Technical Assistance Center (DTTAC) at Emory University are hosting Lifestyle Coach training for the National DPP in Portland, OR on April 10-11, 2018.

DTTAC Lifestyle Coach Training is a highly interactive, 2-day, in-person training with an expert DTTAC Master Trainer that provides your Lifestyle Coaches with the skills, knowledge and experience that they need to successfully facilitate the proven-effective lifestyle change program. DTTAC Lifestyle Coach training:
*      Features an interactive, small group format with hands-on practice in group facilitation techniques

  *   Includes detailed review of the yearlong National DPP curriculum
  *   Offers continuing education credits for registered dietitians and certified diabetes educators
  *   Is open to organizations that have pending recognition or will apply for CDC recognition and includes the most up-to-date information on the recognition<http://www.cdc.gov/diabetes/prevention/recognition/index.htm> process and the national program.

Dates:  Tuesday, April 10 - Wednesday, April 11, 2018; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm both days

Location:  Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center at OHSU, Physicians Pavilion Suite 140, 3147 SW Sam Jackson Park Rd., Portland, OR

Fee:  $799 per person (The fee includes all training materials. Payment can be made by credit card or check.)
