[Self-Management_OR] Registration now open! DPP Lifestyle Coach Training May 30th-31st

This is a quick note to let folks know that OHSU will be hosting a DPP Lifestyle Coach training in Beaverton May 30th through the 31st, 2019. Registration is now open for this training.

The cost of the training is $799.  That said, OHSU has a number or scholarships available.  The primary requirement for securing a scholarship is that the prospective National DPP Lifestyle Coach be affiliated with an organization that is willing to offer the National DPP to Oregon Medicaid beneficiaries. DTTAC Lifestyle Coach Training

Is your organization planning on delivering the National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) lifestyle change program - the nation's foremost evidence-based program for the prevention of type 2 diabetes? The Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center at OHSU and the Diabetes Training and Technical Assistance Center (DTTAC) at Emory University are hosting Lifestyle Coach training for the National DPP in Beaverton, OR on May 30-31, 2019.

DTTAC Lifestyle Coach Training is a highly interactive, 2-day, in-person training with an expert DTTAC Master Trainer that provides your Lifestyle Coaches with the skills, knowledge and experience that they need to successfully facilitate the proven-effective lifestyle change program. DTTAC Lifestyle Coach training:


  *   Features an interactive, small group format with hands-on practice in group facilitation techniques
  *   Includes detailed review of the yearlong National DPP curriculum
  *   Offers continuing education credits for registered dietitians and certified diabetes educators
  *   Is open to organizations that have pending recognition or will apply for CDC recognition and includes the most up-to-date information on the recognition<http://www.cdc.gov/diabetes/prevention/recognition/index.htm> process and the national program.

Dates:                   Thursday, May 30 - Friday, May 31, 2019; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm both days

Location:             St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 11265 SW Cabot St., Beaverton, OR  97005

Fee:                       The $799 training fee is being paid with funds from the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors. Prior to registering,
