Hi all!

We've got a few important updates for you guys before you head out for your fabulous three-day weekend.  Happy Veterans' Day!

Fall Data Visualization Event

Thanks again for everyone who was able to make it out to our fall event - A Demonstration and Discussion in Data Visualization.  The turnout was amazing and so were all of our presenters.  We're currently collecting contact information and materials from our presenters and those will be posted on our Past Events page of our website - OregonResearch.org<http://oregonresearch.org/?page_id=45>.  Check it out!

Annual Survey

It's nearly the end of 2016, so that means it's time for the SORA Annual Survey.  This brief survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete and will provide us important information about what types of events you'd like to see in the coming years.  Please take a moment to provide your feedback and help us make the State of Oregon Research Academy even better in 2017.  You can find the survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GT73RWQ

SORA Executive Committee

We're looking for new members for the 2017 Executive Committee.  The Executive Committee is the governing body that plans and coordinates all of the great events that SORA puts on each year.  In addition we manage special projects such as the job shadow and workforce development programs.  Being part of the committee is a one year commitment, and we would love to have you join us.  Additional information is attached and can also be found on our website. Looking for Presenters & Event Volunteers

SORA typically holds 4 events throughout the year and our next event is scheduled for Jan/Feb. 2017.  We are always looking for presenters for these events.  So, please don't be shy.  SORA event attendees would love to learn more about the research you are performing. In addition, we always welcome volunteers to assist us with event planning, coordination and set-up.
